Player Commands

Once your player account is set up you can change your player information, join games, request RST files and more. To change your settings request a “Send Config” (see Type I commands) and follow the instructions on the email you receive.

There are two types of commands: Type 1 and Type 2.

Type I
Thesecommands do not require a password. The commands are placed into the subject line of the message.
Type II
These commands require a password in the subject line while the commands are placed into the body of the message. If you do not remember your password it can be sent to you using the Send Config command. All type II commands must also be sent from your _primary_ e-mail address.

Type I Commands:

Place the following commands into Subject Line
Send Help Returns an email describing the AT mail commands
Send Config Returns an email listing the player’s configuration. This email may is also used to change the player’s configuration. Do do this the player changes the offending parameter(s)and sends the email back to the AT host. Changing parameters requires the player's password to be entered into the subject line (see Type 2 commands.)
Sign Up This registers a player and makes them eligible for play at Starbase: Echo Cluster. The player will be registered under the email address the request came from. Please note only one email address per player is allowed on Starbase: Echo Cluster.
Send Help Returns an email describing the AT mail commands

Type II Commands:

Following commands reqire a password to be inserted in the subject line. Place the command into the body of the message
$SendRST : xx The 'xx' can be 0 if you want RSTs from all your games sent, or be the game number of the game you want your RSTs for.
!GameList Requests a list of all public games on Starbase: Echo Cluster

Game Commands (Type II):

All game commands require a password and are GameID# specific, the game # must be known in order to send the command. The GameID# can be located on the Games page . The first line in the body of a Game Command message must be: $Game: XX (xx specifies the game number)
$Game: XX
$QPlayer
Valid response is 'yes' or 'no'. Turns on/off The Q for the player. The player must be playing a race in the game.
$Game: XX
$RemoveAlly : 3
Removes an ally.
$Game: XX
$AddAlly: 4
Valid numbers are 1..11. Adds an ally. This is a little tricky. The player adds an ally and that means the other player (fascists in this example) will start getting this player's RST files. That other player (4) must send an $AddAlly command also to have an equal alliance.
$Game: XX
$JoinRace : 3
Valid numbers are 1..11. If Allow Joining is set in the game config screen, and race '3' in this example is open, the player will be added to the game and immediately sent his RST files.
$Game: XX
$QuitRace: 4
Valid numbers are 1..11. Can only be sent if the player is playing the race, in this case race 4. When quitting, The Q is turned on for the player
